Iranian short film ‘The Rotation’ has made way to the Corti a Ponte Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian short film ‘The Rotation’ has made way to the Corti a Ponte Film Festival in Italy.

The animated piece, directed by Hazhir Asadi, will vie at the Animation section of the 15th edition of the event.

The 7-minute animation shows two tribes that engage in a tug-of-war to possess the sun and the moon.

None of the sides can defeat the other and their conflict wreaks havoc on the Earth’s climate.

An eventual ceasefire brings temporary stability and harmony until unexpected events renew the cycle of conflict and destruction.

It is a film about the futility of war and the folly of human efforts to dominate nature.

‘The Rotation’ went on screen at a number of global events, including the River Film Festival in Italy, the Fort Lauderdale Int’l Film Festival in the US, the MikroFAF Int’l festival of DIY and independent short films in Serbia and the International Youth Film Festival "Light of the World” in Russia.

The Corti a Ponte presents films to an audience of 3 to 99 years old. The films are either in Italian or have Italian subtitle.

There is a special section of the festival for the films that are made by children and youth that is called “Piccolo Festival”.

The 2022 edition of the Italian festival will be held on May 9-21.
